Emma and Gillian will be running an informal day covering all aspects of planning a kitchen garden, including the best crops to grow, how to design, plan and plant a potager, creating a beautiful as well as productive kitchen garden, making your garden look good all year round, tips and hints as well as sources for seeds, tools and plants. We will also be looking at growing vegetables in the smallest of spaces and how to grow vegetables in amongst your garden without any special beds needed.

Gillian CarsonGillian Carson is the author of kitchen garden blog My Tiny Plot.  She has been writing about growing vegetables, fruit and cutting flowers in her small garden in Bath since 2005. She is also the founder of UK Veg Gardeners an online social network for vegetable gardeners. Gillian has a wealth of knowledge about starting a kitchen garden from scratch and making it easy to look after, especially for beginners.

Emma BondEmma is a professional gardener with over ten years of gardening experience and runs Bath Garden Design where she designs, plans and plants gardens.  Writing for Bath Life as their gardens writer as well as taking photographs of gardens, Emma’s interest is in bringing the love of gardening to as many people as possible and inspiring them to get out and have a go!
